Truth in Design: An Examination of the Teleological Argument

The first thing one confronts when examining philosophical arguments for the existence of God is confrontation itself. For every argument supporting God's existence, there are numerous proponents and detractors, from theists and atheists alike. For the casual observer or passionate pundit, the arguments become as anything else in life a personal judgment call. There are convincing arguments on both sides of every point of contention. One must determine for one's self which arguments are cogent, and which hold no sway.

On principle, arguments for the existence of God are a matter of apologetics.
